HOW TO SHARE THE GOSPEL

Here is a wonderful method, called the Romans Road to Salvation. The Romans Road to salvation is a way of explaining the good news of salvation using verses from the Book of Romans. It is a simple yet powerful method of explaining why we need salvation, how God provided salvation, how we can receive salvation, and what are the results of salvation.

The first verse on the Romans Road to salvation is Romans 3:23 , “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. There is no one who is innocent. Romans 3:10-18 gives a detailed picture of what sin looks like in our lives.

The second Scripture on the Romans Road to salvation, Romans 6:23 , teaches us about the consequences of sin – “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The punishment that we have earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death!

The third verse on the Romans Road to salvation picks up where Romans 6:23 left off, “but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:8 declares, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus Christ died for us! Jesus’ death paid for the price of our sins. Jesus’ resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus’ death as the payment for our sins.

The fourth stop on the Romans Road to salvation is Romans 10:9 , “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting His death as the payment for our sins – and we will be saved! Romans 10:13 says it again, “for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The final aspect of the Romans Road to salvation is the results of salvation. Romans 5:1 has this wonderful message, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God.

Romans 8:1 teaches us, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, we will never be condemned for our sins. Finally, we have this precious promise of God from Romans 8:38-39 , “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Would you like to follow the Romans Road to salvation? If so, here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer is a way to declare to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. The words themselves will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation! “Lord God Almighty, I know that I have sinned against You and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With Your help, I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness – the gift of eternal life! Amen!”

THE CHOICE IS YOURS

Would you be a trophy in hell fire or would you be a trophy of the Almighty God? Hell is a place of unquenchable fire, a place of memory, a place of regret, a place of separation, a place of undiluted divine anger, and a place that was originally prepared for satan and his own hosts.

You have no business going there and really you should not plan to go there. But all sinners without exception are planning to go there. As far as Bible is concerned, every sinner will end up in hell fire. It would be a very sad testimony if a Christian lands in hell fire with the witches he was binding and casting out. It is terrible because every single moment throughout eternity, every inch of the person’s body will be in pain. It would be like pouring boiling oil on the skin of somebody continuously. The person will not be able to bear the pain. His throat will become dry with screaming and as he opens his mouth, worms of fire would be going in and out. He would be crying for water, but there would be none, and without any warning, the person would see that he keeps dropping, coughing, and gasping and the tongue would become like red hot iron and the roof of the mouth will be patched with heat. It is then that everything the person heard in church will torment him the more.

Beloved, examine your life. If there is any sin there, no matter how little, it will take you to the place of torment. You must not go there. You are not supposed to be there.

HOW DO WE PREVENT OURSELVES FROM GOING TO HELL FIRE?
1. Romans 12.1:“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Your first medicine against hell fire is to become a living sacrifice. Although you are alive, you are dead in Jesus. You die daily like Paul. Once you are dead to the flesh, you don’t know whether people are gossiping about you. You cannot be bothered whether you are being insulted or not.
2. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The second medicine is: Do not like the world and its evil system. James 4:4 also says, “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” Friendship with the world, the Bible says, is enmity with God. If any man loves the world, he has only one sickness, the love of the Father is not in him. If you love the world, when the world perishes, you will go with it.
3. The third medicine is humility. Be humble. Romans 12:3 says, “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
4. Romans 12:4-8: “For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office. So, we, being many, are one body in Christ and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith. Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering; or he that teacheth, on teaching; or he that exhorteth, on exhortation; he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence, he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.” Medicine number four is play your part in the house of God. Don’t be a bench warmer in the church. Make sure there is something you are doing for God.
5. Romans 12:9 says, “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” Medicine number five is love people without hypocrisy.
6. Medicine number six can also be found in verse 9 which says, “Abhor that which is evil.” Hate whatever is evil with perfect hatred.
7. Romans 12:11 says, “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” Be fervent in the spirit.
8. Be broken. Every area of unbrokenness in your life will only give the enemies space to work.

If a person is a candidate for hell, useless and vain things will take his time. So the item that takes most of your time indicates where your heart is and shows where you are going. The candidates for hell waste most of their time.

The ultimate desire of the devil is to display Christians as trophies. If you are reading this message and you are not yet born again, it means that you have not started at all. If you don’t want to go to hell fire, you must become born again. If you have decided to give your life to Christ, make the following confession:

“Lord Jesus, I come before you and I confess that I am a sinner. I repent of all my sins and ask that you forgive me. Cleanse me O Lord with your blood. I surrender my life unto you. Take absolute control of my life. Thank you Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

IS THERE LIFE AFTER DEATH?

The existence of life after death is a universal question. Job speaks for all of us by stating, “Man born of woman is of few days and full of trouble. He springs up like a flower and withers away; like a fleeting shadow, he does not endure….If a man dies, will he live again?” (Job 14:1-2, 14). Like Job, all of us have been challenged by this question. Exactly what happens to us after we die? Do we simply cease to exist? Is life a revolving door of departing and returning to earth in order to eventually achieve personal greatness? Does everyone go to the same place, or do we go to different places? Is there really a heaven and hell?
The Bible tells us that there is not only life after death, but eternal life so glorious that “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9). Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, came to the earth to give us this gift of eternal life. “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus took on the punishment that all of us deserve and sacrificed His life to pay the penalty for our sin. Three days later, He proved Himself victorious over death by rising from the grave. He remained on the earth for forty days and was witnessed by hundreds before ascending to heaven. Romans 4:25 says, “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.”
The resurrection of the Christ is a well-documented event. The apostle Paul challenged people to question eyewitnesses for its validity, and no one was able to contest its truth. The resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian faith. Because Christ was raised from the dead, we can have faith that we, too, will be resurrected. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the ultimate proof of life after death. Christ was only the first of a great harvest of those who will be raised to life again. Physical death came through one man, Adam, to whom we are all related. But all who have been adopted into God’s family through faith in Jesus Christ will be given new life (1 Corinthians 15:20-22). Just as God raised up Jesus’ body, so will our bodies be resurrected upon Jesus’ return (1 Corinthians 6:14).
Although we will all be eventually resurrected, not everyone will go to heaven. A choice must be made by each person in this life, and this choice will determine one’s eternal destination. The Bible says that it is appointed for us to die only once, and after that will come judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Those who have been made righteous by faith in Christ will go into eternal life in heaven, but those who reject Christ as Savior will be sent to eternal punishment in hell (Matthew 25:46). Hell, like heaven, is not simply a state of existence, but a literal place. It is a place where the unrighteous will experience never-ending, eternal wrath from God. Hell is described as a bottomless pit (Luke 8:31; Revelation 9:1) and a lake of fire, burning with sulfur, where the inhabitants will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10). In hell, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, indicating intense grief and anger (Matthew 13:42).
God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but desires them to turn from their wicked ways so that they can live (Ezekiel 33:11). But He will not force us into submission; if we choose to reject Him, He accepts our decision to live eternally apart from Him. Life on earth is a test, a preparation for what is to come. For believers, life after death is eternal life in heaven with God. For unbelievers, life after death is eternity in the lake of fire. How can we receive eternal life after death and avoid an eternity in the lake of fire? There is only one way”through faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die…” (John 11:25-26).
The free gift of eternal life is available to all. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him” (John 3:36). We will not be given the opportunity to accept God’s gift of salvation after death. Our eternal destination is determined in our earthly lifetimes by our reception or rejection of Jesus Christ. “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). If we trust the death of Jesus Christ as the full payment for our sin against God, we are guaranteed not only a meaningful life on earth, but also eternal life after death, in the glorious presence of Christ.

HOW TO MISS HELL

Not going to hell is easier than you think. Some people believe they have to obey the Ten Commandments for their entire lives to not go to hell. Some people believe they must observe certain rites and rituals in order to not go to hell. Some people believe there is no way we can know for sure whether or not we will go to hell. None of these views are correct. The Bible is very clear on how a person can avoid going to hell after death.
The Bible describes hell as a terrifying and horrible place. Hell is described as “eternal fire” (Matthew 25:41), “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12), “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2), a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49), and “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9). Revelation 20:10 describes hell as a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever.” Obviously, hell is a place we should avoid.
Why does hell even exist, and why does God send some people there? The Bible tells us that God “prepared” hell for the devil and the fallen angels after they rebelled against Him (Matthew 25:41). Those who refuse God’s offer of forgiveness will suffer the same eternal destiny of the devil and the fallen angels. Why is hell necessary? All sin is ultimately against God (Psalm 51:4), and since God is an infinite and eternal being, only an infinite and eternal penalty is sufficient. Hell is the place where God’s holy and righteous demands of justice are carried out. Hell is where God condemns sin and all those who reject Him. The Bible makes it clear that we have all sinned (Ecclesiastes 7:20; Romans 3:10-23), so, as a result, we all deserve to go to hell.
So, how can we not go to hell? Since only an infinite and eternal penalty is sufficient, an infinite and eternal price must be paid. God became a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14). In Jesus Christ, God lived among us, taught us, and healed us—but those things were not His ultimate mission. God became a human being so that He could die for us. Jesus, God in human form, died on the cross. As God, His death was infinite and eternal in value, paying the full price for sin (1 John 2:2). God invites us to receive Jesus Christ as Savior, accepting His death as the full and just payment for our sins. God promises that anyone who believes in Jesus (John 3:16), trusting Him alone as the Savior (John 14:6), will be saved, i.e., not go to hell.
God does not want anyone to go to hell (2 Peter 3:9). That is why God made the ultimate, perfect, and sufficient sacrifice on our behalf. If you want to not go to hell, receive Jesus as your Savior. It is as simple as that. Tell God that you recognize that you are a sinner and that you deserve to go to hell. Declare to God that you are trusting in Jesus Christ as your Savior. Thank God for providing for your salvation and deliverance from hell. Simple faith, trusting in Jesus Christ as the Savior, is how you can avoid going to hell!

ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE

Acts 4:12 (KJV)
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

In the world today, there are several millions of Muslims, Buddhists, Hinduists and others in false religions, who are unsaved and heading to hell. There are also those in the occult or satanism and others who call themselves atheists. What does this piece of information tell you as a believer? It shows that several millions of people on earth have either not heard the gospel or have heard but not responded to it and are on their ways to hell fire, except the Church (you and I) do something tangible about their fate. We are God’s co-labourers and partners. Our mission is to preach the gospel to all creatures and to the whole world. Have we done that wholeheartedly and fully? If we have, why have so many souls perished and why are so many on their way to doom and damnation because they are not saved?

Evangelism is the heartbeat of God. One message these people need is that ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE. That truth is what they lack and that is what we need to preach to them and demonstrate to them. Often, people in this category have asked, “Tell me why I need your Jesus?” They believe they are fine where they are. You must approach them as Jesus did Nicodemus. Life does not end here. There is heaven and there is hell. Everyone will spend eternity in heaven or hell; there is no other place. Death is the key that opens the palace door of eternity, but death does not guarantee where you spend your eternity. It is who you serve truly and wholeheartedly while you are alive that determines that. Except you are born again (accept and serve Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour), you will not see the kingdom of God. Anyone who serves another God or being, outside Jehovah will have his or her portion in the lake of fire. No one (Muhammad, Bahai or any angel) can save you and me from eternal damnation, except Jesus Christ. The hundred years or more any mortal will spend on earth is an infinitesimal speck of what eternity stands for. Will you like to spend eternity in heaven? Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour today. ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE.

Beloved, God saved you so that you can save others. The Great Commission is dear to His heart. You must win souls all over the world and make disciples of all nations. Until we successfully and satisfactorily accomplish the task of end time harvest, the Lord will not come. He is waiting for us to carry out the Great Commission fully and His return will happen. Can the Lord count on you?

JESUS FRIEND OF SINNERS

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” – John 8:11

Jesus is our best role model. Christlikeness should be our focus. Jesus was sinners’ friend. Are you? Many of us relate with sinners the wrong way. We do not understand the ministry of reconciliation neither do we engage in this all-important ministry that Jesus committed to our hands when He was departing this world. Jesus loved sinners and befriended them. He did not love their sins nor befriend their sins. His unconditional love for sinners was to enable Him save their souls and win them for the Father. Let us examine how Jesus related with sinners and take a cue from our Royal Master.

Jesus was an epitome of unconditional love. He loved the loveless and gave His all to save sinners. Apostle Paul, appreciating the finished work of Jesus and the salvation of his own soul said, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief” (1 Timothy 1:15). Beloved, if Jesus did not befriend and save Apostle Paul, a chief sinner, Christendom would have lost a great apostle, two third of the New Testament and millions of souls. Who ever thought that Mary Magdalene and the demoniac of Gadara or even Zacheus would ever repent and add value to God’s kingdom? Jesus, the Son of God, does not deal with us on the basis of our present condition, but on the basis of the purpose of God for our lives.

He knows the end from the beginning. A sinner today may be a saint tomorrow if you preach to him or her and intercede for him. A hell-bound individual, family or nation may become heaven-bound tomorrow if the power of the gospel and the saving power of Jesus are taken to them. Jonah never believed that the people of Nineveh would heed the word of God and repent. I encourage you to show Christ love to sinners, preach to them and pray for them. Trust the Holy Spirit to convict and change them. You love them but the Holy Spirit does even more. Therefore, if you are the type that avoids sinners like a plague, you should have a rethink. Jesus related with them in love and succeeded in winning their souls for the Father. Can He count on you for those perishing souls?

We shall examine two classic examples of sinners who experienced the friendship and unconditional love of Christ. The first is Zacchaeus, a rich publican. He desired to see Jesus who was going to pass through Jericho. However, because he was a man of small stature, Zacchaeus climbed a sycamore tree so that he would see Jesus when he passed the road. When Jesus got to the place, though there was a crowd around Him, Jesus spotted Zacchaeus and told him to come down for He must abide in Zacchaeus’ house that day. What lessons do we need to learn from Zacchaeus’ story? First, Zacchaeus had a genuine desire to see Jesus. He defiled the disadvantage and limitation that his stature constituted among the crowd. He devised a means by which he would see Jesus (climbing the sycamore tree). He matched his desire with faith and his faith with action. Remember that the Bible says that faith without work is useless. Second, to Zacchaeus’ surprise, Jesus spotted him, knew and rewarded his faith and effort. How? He offered to be Zacchaeus’ guest and later assured Zacchaeus that salvation had come to his house. Jesus Christ still honours and rewards faith today; even the faith of a sinner. Faith saves sinners and turns unpleasant situations around for believers. As the friend of sinners that He was, Jesus’ answer to those who murmured about His going to be guest to Zacchaeus was, “The Son of man come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). This is a food for thought for us all. The second classic example is about the woman caught in adultery. Her accusers told Jesus that the Law of Moses mandated them to stone the woman to death. Yet they wanted Jesus’ view on the judgement. The woman was at the mercy of her accusers. She needed a friend to bail her out in that hour of need and condemnation. Jesus chose to be a friend and offered her hope and help. He wrote on the ground and said to them, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” The Bible says that the woman’s accusers were convicted by their own conscience and went away, leaving her with Jesus. When Jesus rose to His feet, He told the woman that since no man had condemned her, He too had not and that she should go and sin no more. Have you sinned and the enemy is accusing you day and night before God’s throne? Are your human accusers making life unbearable for you? I encourage you to turn to Jesus, the friend of sinners and Saviour of the whole world. He will come to your rescue and save you. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to the Father through Him because He daily makes intercession for them.
